Water Birds

The two ponds are home to a range of water birds. A sign near the lower pond provides some information for visitors about the Mallard, Mute Swan, Tufted Duck, Canada Goose, Little Grebe, Grey Heron, Moorhen and Coot.

Swans have been a feature for many years with a regular breeding pair. One of the swans died and new pairs were introduced resulting in five cygnets being born in 2011.
