Queslade House, Queslade Road, was built in 1924 and has been used for bedsitting accomodation for the elderly, with shared kitchens and bathrooms. The two-storey building had a self-contained warden flat and two community rooms, a large one on the first floor and a smaller one on the ground floor.It was closed for residential use some years ago due to fire safety concerns.

In 2011 permission was given to demolish the property and grass the area.

Also on the site, in Queslade Close, are six  one-bedroom bungalows which had been considered for demolition are planned to be converted in four two-bedroom bungalows for older council residents.
