January 2010 saw severe disruption due to the worst snow for many years.

Work commenced at the end of January on the £1.1 million Red Route along the A4011 Newton Road / A4031 All Saints Way. The first phase including new traffic lights at Forge Lane and shared cycle way and walkway by Wigmore Lane taking  three months.
